Ja’kh’redd, a monstrous Vidos, was out hunting when he came across an orphaned human child amidst the ruins of a recently destroyed caravan. Taking pity on the ‘human cub’ he saved her, attempting to return her to humankind to grow up among her own.

A decade and a half later, Ja’kh’redd would come across the same human cub once more, this time grown to adulthood… and on death’s door. Rescuing her a second time from a fatal wound begins a journey that will take the humble Vidos from the life of a simple hunter to the halls of ancient Kings, the feasting table of conquerors, and into a life he never could have imagined.

With a strange but elemental love story as its backbone, Kings and Monsters is ultimately a story about humanity, compassion, and what makes a soul noble… and it isn’t the color of the skin, or whether or not there are horns.

We will be publishing our episodes on Smashwords AFTER it has already been published on our home website; so if you have to read the next episode right away, you can download our PDF’s from Skyboarders.com. Otherwise, if you want the next episode on your iPhone and you don’t want to mess with a PDF, you may have to wait a week or so for us to get it online at Smashwords.

The first Episode is still free on Smashwords, and the other Episodes for our stories will remain at $2 whether you buy them on our site, or on Smashwords.

We will be releasing new Skyboarders episodes every few weeks, so sign up to the RSS feed in the upper right corner to receive updates as soon as we announce them. After you read the first one, you’ll be addicted, so get an RSS reader program (you can find them for free by searching around on the internet) or by entering the RSS feed address into your computer’s email program. Almost every email program these days has some ability to handle RSS feeds. Usually if you just click on the RSS feed box itself, your computer will open your RSS reader program or email program and ask you if you want to sign up to our feed.

And for those of you who desperately want to join the Jelka, we’re going to be opening up a storefront with screen-printed skateboard decks, mugs, t-shirts, you name it. We’ll be getting our designs together over the next few weeks and we’ll let you know when the merchandise is up for sale. Enjoy!

You can start reading by downloading the first episode (FREE) to see if you like the story. We’ll make a blog announcement when the first five episodes go live for sale; each will be $2. You can keep reading for as long as you like, because we’ll just keep writing episodes until the story is finished!

How long will the Skyboarders Series be? Right now we have several book-length sections planned out, so you can figure the Series will be at least as long as Harry Potter, or more. This is good news for those who like to keep reading, and hate it when a good story runs out.

And when the Skyboarders series finally ends, we have several more series to put online! You’ll never run out of something to read from Biggs Books.
